The passenger was drunk.
A local man in Bratsk, Irkutsk Region, left his one-year-old daughter in a cab and left. According to the driver, the man was drunk.
"He didn't look like the kind of person who would leave a child. <...> When he reached the address, he said: wait, I'll take the money out. I asked him to leave something as collateral. He left his daughter. And he did not come back," cab driver Konstantin told TV channel 360.The driver waited for the passenger for about forty minutes. During that time the child began to cry. After that, the cab driver and the operator called the number they had called the cab from. The girl picked up the phone and said she did not know what it was about.
After that Konstantin took the child to the police and testified. Now the girl is in the infant home.
The passenger, who owed 450 rubles for the trip, never contacted the driver. Given the waiting and visit to law enforcement officers, the total payment increased to 1500 rubles.
Bratsk city prosecutor’s office is checking the incident.
"The Bratsk City Prosecutor's Office is conducting an inspection in connection with the reported incident with a young child left in a cab car. During the inspection will be assessed the implementation of legislation on the prevention of neglect of minors", - reported the press service of the agency.
