Lukashenko asked Putin to return nuclear weapons to Belarus

The country is ready for this step.
The Belarusian leader said during an interview on air of “Russia Today” that he intended to propose to Russian President Vladimir Putin the idea of the deployment of nuclear weapons in the territory of Belarus. This is necessary in the case of such systems of NATO will be relocated to Poland.

Alexander Lukashenko says Belarus is ready for such a step. He also added that we will talk about the nuclear weapons, which are most effective in such a contact.

“I’m a thrifty owner, I haven’t destroyed anything. All the barns are standing still,” Lukashenko remarked in a conversation with host Dmitry Kiselev.

Earlier, in April 2010 the President of Belarus called it a mistake to withdraw nuclear weapons from the territory of the republic. He believes that if it had not happened, the country would have felt safer.
